The Story of N2 Detail

Well it all started back years ago during my high school days when I got my first car... A white 1986 Honda Prelude.  She was a beauty.  I bought her used from a school teacher who drove it from her school and back.  It was well maintained, but it still needed some TLC.  From day one, I was outside cleaning it and putting coats of wax on it every few weeks.  She shined nice and bright.  Then the day come for me to sell it.  I needed something a bit more feasible for going off to college so I bought a black 2000 Ford Explorer.  I never believed how hard black was to maintain until this one.  Being still new to cars, I didn't know about proper wash/dry techniques and it didn't take long for my new truck to start getting swirls.  I remember one day going inside almost in tears when I saw how it looked.  While only I would have noticed it, it was unacceptable for me.  My truck was one of my pride and joys at the time.  So I began researching using buffers and polishes and bought some supplies.  I actually did a good job my first time using a buffer and polishing compounds.  After a few times of cleaning and buffing the car, she came back to her showroom finish.  You should have seen the smile on my face when I got her looking good again.  I was on Cloud 9.  So for a few years, I had a love / hate relationship with my black truck.  She was tough to keep clean, but when she was clean, she turned eyes.  When I finally sold it, the potential buyers commented on how clean the truck was.

It wasn't until I graduated from the University of Georgia that I really got serious about detailing.  Before then, it was just a chore, but after purchasing a new Infiniti G35, I took even greater pride in keep my car in showroom condition.  I didn't buy a black car this time...  It was just too much work for me.  As soon as I got the G35, I signed up at a few Infiniti G forums where I found a company that supplied professional grade detailing supplies... Detailed Image.  George set me up with an even more advanced machine polisher, quality detailing pads, microfiber cloths, cleaners, waxes, etc... the whole nine yards.  The silver in this car had an incredible shine after I used the new products.  I got compliments everywhere I went...  Not just on the car, but on the shine.  I had the car 3 years before I decided to sell it.  When I sold it, it looked better than the day I drove it off the dealers lot.

You're probably thinking right now...  What did he buy next?  Well, in late 2007, I pulled the trigger on a new 2008 Infiniti G37S.  I was one of the first in the Atlanta area to get one.  I guess I didn't learn my lesson about black cars... because I bought another one.  No regrets though as it looks absolutely incredible when clean.  Just as I did with the G35, I instantly restocked my detailing supplies...  this time investing in additional tools and advanced cutting polishes, glazes, and sealants from Detailed Image.  With this car and supplies, I've found a new love for black cars.  The G37 is a great car and real head turner, especially when clean.  It's actually kinda funny because my neighbors young child will come over and act like my paint is mirror and begin styling her hair.  It's quite a scene.

Now detailing is a hobby.  I simply enjoy doing it and seeing the fruits of my work... Nice Clean Cars!  My love for cars and the beauty of keeping one in showroom condition even when driven daily is what inspired me to start N2 Detail.  I hope you give me the opportunity to help you keep your car as brilliant as the day you got it as well.
